Long locks rock. They're luscious, versatile and when styled just right, they make you feel all woman. But when you look at the hairbrush you use day in and day out, the word that comes to mind may be "feral" rather than "feminine." Long hair easily gets tangled and matted in your brush, especially when you're using a round one. Sometimes using a simple comb isn't enough to get the hair out without pulling out the bristles also. But there is a way to remove all that nasty looking hair, without damaging your brush.
1.
With a pair of scissors, snip through the hair that's in the rows between the bristles.
2.
As you cut the hair that is stuck in the hairbrush, it will transform the matted hair into strips. Use your fingers to pull each strip of hair from the hairbrush.
3.
If a few strands are still stuck on the hairbrush, grab a pair of tweezers and pull the remaining pieces of hair that didn't come up when you pulled out the strips.
4.
Give your brush a bath in a sink full of lukewarm water with a few drops of shampoo mixed in to remove any dirt or grime that was trapped by all that long hair. Swish it around for just a minute or two, then be sure to thoroughly dry it.
