Each year as the weather thaws out and the world begins to bloom, fashion savvy girls start to dream in color. Designers have already given you the color story for spring 2011, and it's full of glorious shades for fearless fair lasses. Pale-skinned girls will find color nirvana in spring's homage to riotous blooms and tropical seas, with hues of deep pink, coral rose, pea pod green, regatta blue, blue curacao and lavender. Find the ones that speak to you and strut your true colors this spring.
1.
Know what type of fair-skinned girl you are. One category of pale girls has a fair complexion with warmer peachy or gold undertones, freckles and red, auburn or strawberry blond hair.
If you're blonde or brown haired with a cool ivory complexion and clear skin, then you're the other kind. Neither type has to be afraid of color, and spring hues will have you blooming like a rose.
2.
Choose your perfect hue. For warm, red-haired and freckled beauties, try t"peapod green," "russet," "silver cloud" and "silver peony" (a blush ivory). An English rose complexion will also glow with spring's "regatta blue." If you want to wear pink, go for one with a yellowish, golden undertone like "coral rose."
3.
For cool-toned blondes, clear colors will set off your clean complexion. Spring's designer color pick, "honeysuckle" is a vibrant deep pink. "Curacao blue" (a tropical turquoise) and "lavender" are also be stunning on you. "Beeswax," (a marigold yellow) is perfect to complement the color of your hair.
4.
Feel great in it the shade you choose. Look for colors that make your face really glow, and pay attention to what you're wearing when you get compliments -- that means you're wearing a color that really suits your skin tone. It's like being in love, when it's right, you'll know. Heads will turn, compliments will pour down like spring rain and every time you look in the mirror you'll think, "Who's that fine thing? Oh it's me!"
If you fall in love with a color and you feel it doesn't flatter your ivory complexion, you can still wear it. Simply buy it in a bag, shoe, belt or gloves. As long as you wear the color away from your face, you can still rock the colors that move you.
