Ahh, slippers -- one of man's greatest inventions. Who doesn't love these soft, super comfortable, padded shoes that keep your tootsies warm and bundled on the coldest nights. Sliding your moccasin slippers on and off every day can put some wear and tear on them, especially if you tend to kick them under your bed or go out for the newspaper in them. Cleaning them occasionally and caring for them all the time will keep your furry little pals around for the long haul.
Cotton Moccasin Slippers
1.
Place cotton slippers in the washing machine whenever they are looking dirty.
2.
Run a cold water cycle, which will clean your slippers without ruining their yummy fluffiness.
3.
Place slippers in the dryer and run the cycle until they are fully dry.
Suede or Leather Moccasin Slippers
1.
Purchase a suede or leather cleaning kit and pre-treat your slippers with a stain protector spray before you wear them.
2.
Wipe off any spills or stains right away with a damp towel. If your stain spray is doing its thing, the stains should come right off.
3.
Brush gently with a suede brush to restore the nap, if the slippers are suede.
4.
Keep away from wet floors, spills and spritzes through openings in your shower curtain.
Sheepskin Moccasin Slippers
1.
Treat sheepskin slippers with stain repellent spray before wearing, such as UGG's Water and Stain Repellent if your sheepskin slippers are UGG brand.
2.
Allow 24 hours for the spray to dry and fully set in before wearing.
3.
Wick water and stains away immediately with a dry towel.
4.
Wear slippers indoors only to protect their look and feel.
