Vans are comfortable, cute slip-ons and sneakers that can enhance your casual vibe whether you dress like a rocker or like a little prep in your step. They’re extra versatile because you can wear them with socks or go without, allowing them to transition to warmer seasons. Wearing Vans without socks creates a distinct look with whatever outfit you may be wearing. One tip: Don’t forget to grab the odor-eating shoe powder.

With Pants

This is any easy one: Wear pants with your Vans sans socks. If your pants are wide-leg, boot cut or another style that covers the top of your shoe, nobody will be the wiser about your lack of socks. However, if you like ankle-length, cuffed or Capri pants, your vans will look great -- like sportier loafers -- at the foot of your look.

With Skirts

Dress down a skirt by wearing your Vans. With this touch of masculinity below an obviously feminine piece, you’ll add nuance to your look, not to mention serious comfort. “Who What Wear” recommends sticking to low-top sneakers when donning a skirt to avoid messing with your leg proportions too much, so stick with a Vans loafer or a low sneaker.

With Dresses

Wear your day dress with vans and no socks. This look won't work with anything formal, but do wear your Vans with a casual floral dress or a simple cotton one for a day of shopping, errands or to a bar. This look would actually suffer by adding socks, so feel confident without them.

With Shorts

The last thing you want to do is add a knit layer to your feet during summertime, so wear Vans loafers or sneakers by themselves with a cute pair of shorts. Try high-waisted, hip-hugging or even slouchy boyfriend shorts with your sporty footwear.
