When cold weather blows your way, a simple, black turtleneck sweater can be your best friend, offering both instant coziness and style. Add a black blazer, and you'll not only feel warm -- you'll look hot. To be ultra stylish, consider the thickness of your turtleneck and the quality of your blazer. Then, since the look is so classically neutral, coordinate with an imaginative take on the rest of your outfit. Decide on pants, skirt or shorts, add accessories, and you're out the door -- looking fab.

The Black Combo

A thin black turtleneck sweater and black blazer of good quality can make a great combo. If you don't have or can't find a thin enough black turtleneck, consider buying a black blazer one size bigger to wear with your turtleneck and avoid a bulky look. Quality counts: Invest in a good blazer to look fresh and polished.

With a Belt

Add shape to your look by accentuating your waist with a skinny animal print belt. A zebra print or leopard print will spice it up. You can also go for a solid-color wide belt. White, red and yellow will look great over your black silhouette. Wear the belt over both blazer and sweater, or just over the sweater with the blazer on top.

With a Ribbon Bow Tie

If you dare to be different, wrap a white ribbon bow tie around your turtleneck sweater with your black blazer. It will give a stylish, masculine flair to a feminine look. Choosing a ribbon tie instead of a regular bow tie is an instant, softer standout.

With a Long Necklace

If you're not into bow ties and want to keep it strictly feminine, go for a long gold necklace with your black turtleneck and an open black blazer. Multiple thin attached necklaces in silver will work, as would a beaded necklace with animal print stones.

Colored Pants, Skirt or Shorts

White, red, yellow or blue skinny pants, cute shorts with stockings or a flirty skirt with stockings will be a nice addition to a black turtleneck sweater and black blazer. However, if you don't want to be so bold with your pants, black pants or jeans will look good. Black or animal print booties, knee-high boots or heels will make this silhouette pop.
