You need just a touch of liquid foundation to even out your skin tone -- but most foundations make your skin feel weighted down. That’s where Almay Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation can come in. The foundation is designed to protect your skin against sun damage and cover any imperfections without making you feel like you are wearing makeup at all. If you’d like to use Almay’s foundation around your eyes as a makeshift concealer, go for it.

Benefits

Because Almay’s Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation is made for the face and sensitive-skinned ladies, the foundation shouldn’t feel too heavy or irritating to your under-eye area. The foundation also has aloe and grape seed to hydrate your skin, which can be an advantage for applying around your eyes because dry skin equals clumpy, cakey makeup.

Drawbacks

The only catch to using the foundation around your eyes is that the makeup is designed to impart a light finish over your skin. This means the Nearly Naked foundation might not be enough to cover over some more serious under-eye issues, such as dark circles or puffiness. If the Nearly Naked foundation doesn’t provide enough coverage, you might need to trade up to a concealer.

Application Tips

Using a giant foundation brush or sponge might be too big for applying Almay Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation around your eyes. Instead, chose a concealer brush that has small, stiff bristles. You can pour a small amount of the liquid foundation onto your hand, and dip your concealer brush into the foundation. Gently dab the foundation onto the inner corner of your eyes, then blend toward the outer portion of your face. After you apply your first layer, wait a few moments to allow the foundation to set. If you apply too much foundation on the areas under your eyes, it can look caked-on, even though the foundation is designed to be lightweight.

Keep in Mind

You don’t have to put Almay Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation so close to your eyes you’re practically touching your eyeballs. Because your dark circles are more under your eyes, not under your lashline, you’ll only need to put the foundation from the inner portion of your eyes to the area underneath where you can feel your eyeball. This will keep the foundation from irritating your eyes, plus it will be able to conceal any dark circles.
