Your oversize top doesn't have to look messy -- or worse, that you're covering something up. When you wear it right, it can look super chic and totally trendy. The key is learning how to work proportions and keep your look feminine and effortless. Once you master the art of styling an oversize top, you're sure to have a stylish hit that's also a good fit.
Pair it With Leggings
What do you do if all you've got is your boyfriend's button-up? Pair it with leggings, of course. Not that you necessarily have to have a men's button-up to pull this look off. There are plenty of oversize women's blouses out there for you to choose from, as well as tees, sweaters and blazers. As long as your top is long enough to cover your derriere, you're good to go.
If You Don't Like Leggings, Try Skinny Jeans
If leggings aren't your thing, pair your oversize top with skinny jeans. This way you can sport an oversize top that's short or long and be right on trend. Try adding a cute scarf to accent your oversize top and skinnies. Then slip on a pair of boots or try a wedge heel for a more casual look.
Make a Miniskirt More Conservative
Wear your oversize top with a miniskirt. It'll make your look instantly more conservative. You'll still be wearing a mini so don't expect to look too understated, but adding an oversize tee definitely makes your look a bit less showy. Tuck your tee in or wear it loose. Just make sure that your mini is a little longer than your top if you don't tuck it.
Belt It
If your oversize shirt is long enough, try belting it and wearing it as a dress. This looks incredibly cute in the summer with sandals and a pair of shades. Make it winter-appropriate by throwing on a pair of tights, switching out your sandals for boots and throwing a chunky cardigan on top.
