When you are up close and personal with someone, one of the last things you want him or her to notice is your uneven skin tone. Red or dry patches can wreak havoc on your skin, leaving it muddled instead of gorgeous. To feel your most fabulous, you must do some damage control on your delicate facial skin to leave it looking glamorous and glowing. Fortunately, a few techniques can help you to achieve a healthy and even skin tone.
1.
Scrub-a-dub-dub your face with an exfoliant. Exfoliants with rounded beads can help to remove any dull-looking dead skin that has infiltrated your face and taken away your glow. Not only can dry skin drag down your tone, it can also clog your pores and cause blemishes. Use the helpful product at least once a week to keep your skin free of dead and dry skin or use a facial cleanser with a gentle exfoliant daily.
2.
Apply a comedogenic moisturizer to your skin at least once a day. The hydrating lotion will keep dry skin at bay and help to prevent it from forming. Moisturizers with nourishing ingredients, such as vitamins, will work to keep your skin healthy and look sexy as a result. Moisturize upon waking up and after each face wash with lotion that is suited for your face. For instance, gals with oily skin should use moisturizers developed for such a skin type. Use night cream on your mug before you hit the sack to keep your skin hydrated while you snooze.
3.
Cover up any unevenness with makeup. Besides diamonds, concealer and foundation are often a girl's best friend when she has an uneven skin tone. Use products that are a shade lighter or darker than your natural color -- whichever you choose -- to cover up any uneven spots and leave you with an even tone. Apply concealer to any flaws, such as dark circles or blemishes, and then cover your face with the foundation to make your complexion all one color.
Sweeping bronzer over your face can also help it to look even and give it a bit of color.
Choose moisturizer and makeup that contains SPF to keep your face protected from the sun.
Avoid using exfoliants that have jagged or rough beads in them because they can actually scratch your skin.
