A big night out needs big hair, ya'll. Channel your inner vixen and create a glamorous, bouffant hairstyle for a night to remember. Get this sexy look no matter what your hair type is or the length of your locks. All you need are a few tools and a red-circled date on your weekend calendar. This look is especially sizzling for any red carpets or runways you strut down in the future.

1.

Shampoo and condition your hair. Use thickening formula products if you have fine hair to give your strands some extra oomph. The big hair look works best on freshly washed tresses.

2.

Apply a volume-adding mousse from roots to ends and use a wide-toothed comb to distribute it evenly and coax any tangles out of your hair. This pumps up your strands without adding any lift-deflating weight.

3.

Bend over and flip your wet tresses forward. Grab your blow dryer and use the nozzle to dry your roots in the opposite direction of the way they naturally fall. This little move gives added volume where you need it to enhance the big-hair look. Use your hands to pull the rest of your strands up and away as you dry them. If you have curly hair, use a round brush to straighten your hair as you dry it. Rub a few drops of moisturizing styling cream between your fingers and apply to your roots and ends only.

4.

Grab a two-inch section of hair from your front hairline back to the crown of your head and spray it with styling spray. Roll it under on a two-inch hot roller in a position that is parallel to your center part. Repeat this process to roll under the hair on the sides and back of your head. If you have short hair, use a one-inch curling iron instead of hot rollers.

5.

Leave your hair in the rollers until they have cooled. Remove the curlers carefully and give your hair a few minutes to cool if your roots are still warm. Touching your tresses sooner will lead to a loss of volume.

6.

Hold up a two-inch section of hair at the crown of your head and run a fine-tooth comb in quick up-and-down strokes on the roots to "tease" extra volume into the hair strand. Move forward to the next section of your hair and repeat the teasing action. Continue through all of your hair until you have the volume at the roots you desire. Finish with a light mist of hair spray to keep your bouffant rocking into the early-morning hours.
