If you are petite and want to boost your height, nothing makes you stand tall like a supermodel than a pair of sky-high boots. For women who need to upgrade their shoe game from low and flat to tall and gorgeous, a good pair of high-heeled boots can get you a little bit closer to the sky, and, of course, add a little sexy into your step!

Wedge-Heeled Boots

To add height to your petite shape, choose a leather or suede boot with a wedge heel of three inches or more. Wedge boots are generally more comfortable than stilettos; as a bonus, these footwear phenoms lift the rear end and lengthen the leg simultaneously. If your wedge-heeled boots are too large in the shaft, select a pair with a buckle across the top so that you can adjust your footwear before each wearing.

Stiletto Boots

When the temps turns cold, seek out a pair of chic leather or suede stiletto boots. To give the illusion of a long pair of legs, pair your black or navy boots with opaque tights in dark blue or black hue. To balance a short mini or a pencil skirt, wear a sleek and shiny pair of patent leather stilettos for a first date or a night of dancing with friends.

Over-the-Knee Boots

Unleash a little '70s go-go girl style with over-the-knee boots that feature high heels. The editors at O Magazine report, "Boots that end above your knee are cool and upscale." For petite women, these trendy boots look best with monochromatic ensembles that feature one dark color like, gray, navy or black, worn from head to toe. Pair your skyscraper-inspired 5-inch heeled boots with opaque tights and V-neck sweater dresses for a chic casual Friday outfit.

Dark-Colored Boots

Dark-colored boots, whether they are knee-high stilettos or high-heel ankle boots, give a lift to women who are less than 5 feet 5 inches tall. To create the illusion of height and length, pair your ankle boots with flared or boot cut jeans. Avoid creating a contrast with two colors; instead of wearing black boots with white jeans, pair dark jeans with dark ankle boots or stilettos instead. Wearing a black heel with a white pair of pants will make you look shorter and chop your legs in two.
