Leather jackets are a fab way to toughen up your look or just make your style a little bit more edgy. If you've got a brown leather jacket in your closet and aren't sure how to pair it with boots, don't fret. It's actually a lot simpler than you think.
If you don't feel like over-thinking it, wear a pair of brown boots with your leather jacket. Just because you're wearing brown on brown doesn't mean you have to be all matchy, though. Switch it up and pair your brown leather jacket with a brown boot in a slightly different hue. Try pairing tan and chocolate for a subtle, tonal contrast.
Well, don't actually go nude...just throw on a nude shoe. Not only is nude incredibly chic, it looks fab with almost all shades of brown leather. Pick a heeled pair while you're at it to make your legs longer and leaner. For extra oomph, try to match your nude shoes to your skin tone. It'll make your legs look even slimmer and trimmer. Wear this look with shorts or a skirt to draw attention to those girly gams.
Make your look more modern with a bootie. Booties are inherently more girly than most boots because they're tiny versions of their predecessors and have less coverage but, usually, more details. Adding a little dash of femininity with a masculine jacket makes for a cool contrast in temperament that's unexpected and therefore alluring.
Those old rules about not wearing black and brown together are totally passe. So, go ahead and live a little when you're making color combos. Try a pair of black boots with your brown leather jacket. If you're a little wary of this bold new look, slip on a black top or dress to tie everything together and use your brown leather as an accent to the rest of your look.
