If you're sad that you missed out on the free-flowing style of the '70s, don't fret. Channel a cool '70s look in a totally modern way, starting with your hair. Boho hair is super chic, so embrace your inner flower child and pick your favorite Bohemian look.

Accent Braid

One of the simplest and easiest ways to get the Boho look is to add a braid or two. Start by parting your hair in the center or on the side. Take a section of hair along your part at the hairline and braid it, pinning it back with a bobby pin. Repeat the same step on the other side of your part and you're all set.

Add a Headband

Slide on a headband for a simple and instant Bohemian look -- but only if you wear it horizontally across the forehead. Actress Mischa Barton embraced this look, wearing a pearl Chopard necklace as a headband at the 10th annual White Tie and Tiara ball. You don't have to go so sparkly and fancy; any headband you like will work here.

Updo

Wear your Bohemian tresses up. Take a cue from Uma Thurman, who rocked a Boho updo at the premiere of "Ceremony" in Los Angeles. To get the look, add some leave-in conditioner to damp hair before blow drying it. Then loosely braid hair back, leaving out a few sections in the front to frame your face. Use a one-inch curling iron to create loose ringlets in your free-falling front pieces.

Intricate Boho Style

Actress Emma Stone wore a more intricate Bohemian updo to the 16th Annual Critic's Choice Awards in Hollywood. Her hair was curled and parted on the side. Stylists took a section of Stone's hair along her part at the hairline and twisted it, pinning it in place under the hair. Then her hair was pulled into a loose side chignon at the nape of the neck.
