Blue jeans are such a versatile wardrobe staple. You can dress them up with a pair of pumps, or kick back in comfort with mocs or sneakers. One of the hazards of jeans is that the dye can run --usually in the wash, but sometimes onto your other clothing and shoes. If your favorite shoe leather is suede, then you might have a problem with blue jean stains on your shoes. Fortunately, the problem is totally fixable.

1.

Try your hand at some fancy eraser skills to get the blue jean dye stains off of your suede shoes. Grab an art gum eraser -- they look like a tan rectangle -- and rub the stains away from the shoes. You will probably have better luck with lighter dye stains than a very dark indigo.

2.

Grab a bottle of white vinegar from your pantry and concoct a cleanser that might just do the trick. Combine two parts water and one part vinegar. Moisten a soft, white cloth with the fluid and wring out the excess. Dab at the dye stains on your shoes without scrubbing.

3.

Pat your suede shoes dry with another soft cloth. Re-fluff the nap of the suede with a stiff-bristled brush. You can use a dry, clean toothbrush in a pinch.

4.

Pull out all the stops if your handy home remedies are not making a dent in the blue jean stains. Bring your shoes to a dry cleaner, where the professionals know just what to do. They will apply chemicals to the suede that zap the denim dye without harming the color or grain of your shoes.
