1.
Wash away the grime of the day with a clarifying shampoo. Scalp oils and styling products can build up on your hair and interfere with the bleaching process. A clarifying shampoo strips the impurities from your hair. Let your hair air dry.
2.
Slip into a pair of rubber gloves. Pour the bleach solution into the squirt bottle included in the bleach kit. Start at the crown of your head. Apply the bleach to each strand of hair, rubbing with your fingers for even distribution. Leave the bleach on your hair for the time frame specified on the instructions, then rinse with plenty of water.
3.
Slather a layer of deep conditioner over your entire head, taking care to work it into your scalp and down to the ends of the hair. Bleaching your hair white is extremely damaging and strips moisture from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle. Sit back and read your fave gossip blog or chat up your best friend for 30 minutes, then rinse the conditioner out of your hair.
4.
Wring the majority of the water from your hair; apply the toner to your hair. Toner lifts away the ashy tones and helps even out your color. Rinse the toner out after 20 minutes. Wash with a whitening shampoo, to leave your hair soft, shiny and sparkling white.
If your hair is black or dark brunette, you may need to bleach it twice. However, space your bleaching out over the span of a couple weeks, to prevent excess damage to your hair.
