Smoldering, smoky eyes are a sexy evening makeup look. Their dark, mysterious look is perfect for strutting your stuff during a night on the town. Since almond-shaped eyes are already proportionately wide from inner to outer corner, the goal is to make them appear larger (between upper and lower lash lines) and rounder. Make the most of your almond-shaped eyes with a few simple tricks.

1.

Use the flat eyeshadow brush to lay the nude eyeshadow down along the brow bone, just above the crease. Follow the arc of the brow bone, and blend.

2.

Dab the thin, flat angled eyeshadow brush into the nude shadow, and gently press it into the lower lash line. Start at the inner corner and stop at the middle of the lash line. Blend, pulling color toward the outer corner. This highlights and opens up the inner corners of the eyes, balancing out the dark shadow you'll apply in step 4.

3.

Take the fluffy domed eyeshadow brush and sweep the matte medium-gray shadow onto your eyelid crease. Follow the arc of your crease to apply the shadow in an upside-down crescent shape. Blend upward just past the brow bone.

4.

Use the fluffy domed eyeshadow brush to press the shimmery charcoal shadow into the outer corner of your eyelid. Concentrating the darkest color here will balance the eye shape, and when contrasted with the shimmery light shadow on the inner corner, will make your eyes appear larger and rounder.

5.

Line your upper lids, getting as close to the lash line as possible. Start at the inner corner and work your way outward, stopping at the edge of your eye.
