Think your green eyes are boring? Think again! Defining your eyes is the key to making your gorgeous greens pop and stand out from the rest. Defining your eyes with eyeliner and mascara involves taking your lashes to new lengths and showing off your eyes' unique shape. Green-eyed gals, in particular, should choose shades that contrast with their eye color, like blue or purple to help them to look greener than ever before.
1.
Make applying liner easier by pulling your eye taunt. Gently pull the outer corner of your eye towards your ear to make your eyelid straight.
2.
Line the top of your lid by pointing the liquid liner towards your lash line and drawing short strokes from the inner to outer corner of your eye. If you're feeling bold, try a black liner, while a dark brown may work best if you have light-colored hair.
3.
Pull your bottom eyelid down and outward using your nondominant hand to reveal your waterline. The waterline is that pinkish area on the inside of your eye above your lash line.
4.
Use a sharpened blue or purple pencil to gently draw a line from the inner to outer corner of your lower lash line. The blue or purple you choose will depend on your tastes, though a brighter shade is more appropriate for an evening event.
5.
Lengthen your lashes with two coats of mascara. Look downwards and sweep the mascara brush from root to tip twice. Do not allow mascara to dry in between coats, as this will cause clumping. You may also use a handheld mirror and look down into it to avoid getting mascara onto your eyelids. If you have light hair, you can use a dark brown mascara, though black will give you the maximum impact. Or, if you're feeling really funky, try a colored mascara in purple or blue to highlight your greens and lengthen your lashes.
