Want to wake up your almond-shaped eyes for evening? Applied correctly, a swipe of liquid eyeliner can help hooded eyes appear more open and prominent by minimizing the eyelid. To upgrade your everyday eye makeup look into something sexy and smoldering, swipe a dark-colored liner in navy or jet black on your upper eyelids. Whether you are an amateur or makeup pro, make your eyes appear more sexy and seductive with eyeliner skills that are perfect for a swanky soiree or a hot first date.

1.

Sweep a medium to dark shadow color across your eyelids. Starting at the inner corner of the eye apply shadow color from the upper lashline to the hooded area.

2.

Apply a darker shade of shadow in the center of the lid, extending it toward the eyebrow. Softly blend both colors upward to soften the brow bone and help your eyes become more prominent than your lids.

3.

Deposit a vanilla, white or taupe eyeshadow near the tear duct and under the brow bone to highlight and open the eye.

4.

While looking in the mirror, tilt your head back slightly to see your lash line clearly. Place the liquid liner tip on your lash line and draw a small, thin line from the inner corner to the outer corner using small and short strokes. Paint a thin line of liquid eyeliner that will accent your eyes, without making them appear smaller or partly closed.

5.

Want a dramatic look for evening? Extend the liquid liner from the center of the eye to 1 inch beyond the outer corner to create the purr-fect cat eye! Complete your cat eye look with two coats of mascara on your upper eyelids only.
