When you don't have flawless gams -- don't sweat it, you're not alone -- you can take action and apply leg makeup to cleverly disguise those pesky problem areas. Depending on the type of cover-up you use, there may be a risk that it will rub off -- on your only good pair of stockings no less. No worries; with a little well-placed effort you can keep your leg makeup secure without any annoying messy mistakes.
1.
Snag some leg makeup that's waterproof and sweat-proof. Eyeball the label to make sure you're getting a legit product.
2.
Smooth the leg makeup evenly over your stems with your hands. Keep an eye on uneven areas like your knees and ankles where the makeup might be harder to apply. If it's a spray-type makeup, shake it up and depress the sprayer while sweeping the makeup on. Smooth out the wet makeup with your hands when you're done. Don't forget to scrub your palms with soap and water afterward so you won't have to sport makeup stains.
3.
Give your legs at least five minutes to air dry before your slip into your stockings -- works well for spray-on formulas -- or dust the makeup with translucent powder to help set it. Pancake-style makeup benefits most from powder setting.
4.
Slip on those stockings carefully. While the leg makeup is waterproof and sweat-proof, that doesn't mean that yanking the stockings up your legs won't strip the makeup away. Once you get your stockings in place, don't look back -- enjoy your perfect-looking gams.
