Hazel eyes are an amazing gift. A little brown, a little green, a little gold -- your eyes flash and twinkle. Almay, an American hypoallergenic cosmetics company, has two eye shadow trios for hazel eyes: the intense i-color powder shadow and the smoki-i kit. Both are specifically formulated to bring out the depths of hazel eyes when applied the right way. Get ready for a few flirty winks with eyes that sparkle.
1.
Swipe the eye shadow brush across the darkest color until a light dusting of powder is on the brush. Sweep the shadow across each upper eyelid from the lash line to the crease. For eyelids without creases, brush the powder up approximately one-third to two-thirds of the way to the brow. Repeat until the color is as dark as desired.
2.
Swipe the eye shadow brush across the medium color until a light dusting of powder is on the brush. Don't worry if a little bit of the darker powder remains on the brush. Brush the color just above the crease of each eyelid or, for eyelids without creases, just over and above the edge of the darker color. Blend the two shadows together with your index finger.
3.
Tap the brush on the edge of the sink or other surface to remove excess powder. Swipe the eye shadow brush across the lightest color. You may require a heavier dusting of eye shadow for the lightest color. Brush the color from the line of the medium color along the brow bone and outward. Stipple or gently poke the brush back into the light color and use the same stippling or light poking motion to highlight the inner corners of each eye for brightness.
4.
Line the bottom lid. This step is optional for nighttime or special occasions. Run the eye shadow brush under water for a second so that the brush is damp, but not sopping. Gently run the brush through the darkest color in a straight line to pick up shadow. Hold taut the skin at the outer corner of one eye with your non-dominant hand. Drag the brush carefully across the inner lower lid, above the lash line, from the inner corner outward. Repeat on the other eye. Your eyes look flashing!
